TANYA'S BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS

All the TV that's mad, bad, or just a little bit evil for Monday. Our Tiny Tanya Turner ratings show just how low each show goes – the more Tanyas a show scores, the more mental it is.
» STRESS! The Coach Trip, Channel 4, 4.30pm
One of our dear, esteemed readers wondered why we weren't recommending this last week, and our excuse is that we work hard for the money, so hard for it honey, we work hard for the money so you'd better treat us right. Sorry, that was meant to say that we're at work when this is on, so we haven't seen it. The Channel 4 website leads us to believe that this is some kind of reality-show-cum-travelogue where holidaymakers who are voted off get dropped off at the nearest station and make their own way home. We love that idea, and we're considering implementing that on all of our future holidays.
» DIGRESS! Blue Peter, BBC1, 4.55pm
Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper are on today's show to chat about the new series of Doctor Who. We're incredibly excited about the new episodes of Doctor Who, obviously, but what really excites us is that Blue Peter is the only show where we can ever remember seeing Billie perform live, so we're hoping that she can be persuaded to pop onto the stage and dash out a few verses of 'Honey To The Bee' for us.
» CONFESS! Coronation Street, ITV1, 7.30 & 8.30pm
Shaky Katy is all juddery again tonight and a poor terrified Angela is convinced she's going to blow the secret behind Tommy's murder. It looks like Katy isn't the only one who's finding the secret-keeping a little too much to bear, though, as Angela finally reaches the end of her tether tonight and heads to confession to finally get the big "it were Katy" revelation off her chest. Which is fine, of course, because in a soap opera that kind of behaviour never leads to anything.

About Us

According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses. We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
