THE END IS NIGH! Footballers' Wives, ITV1, 9.00pm
We’re heading for the end of yet another season at Earl’s Park football club, and all of the plots are simmering away nicely in preparation for the explosive finale that we’ve come to love and expect. One of the great things about Footballers’ Wives, after all, is that the term “explosive finale” is used literally as often as it is metaphorically. Roger is in disgrace and Seb looks to add insult to injury (we’ll leave it to your imagination to suggest what role Jackie will be playing in all of this), while Lucy and Giles are getting on nicely (sense of impending doom), and world domination appears to be ever nearer to Amber’s grasp.
