HE'S GAY AND NOBODY CARES. HURRAH!
In an age where young male TV stars would rather slit their wrists and jump out a window than have people think they might be gay, it's heartening to know that some of their colleagues are taking a less dramatic approach to the question of their sexuality.
EastEnders actor Jake Maskall, who plays Danny Moon, revealed in last week's Now! magazine that he is very happy with his boyfriend of 12 years, and that he doesn't care who knows it.
It's quite heartbreaking that people still feel they have to conceal their sexuality if they hope to have any kind of public profile. We hope that the overwhelmingly positive public reaction to Jake's announcement will have helped to make those in a similar situation feel a bit happier about being themselves without worrying about the consequences for their careers.
