TANYA'S BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS

All the TV that's mad, bad, or just a little bit evil for Sunday. Our Tiny Tanya Turner ratings show just how low each show goes – the more Tanyas a show scores, the more mental it is.
» TOUGH! The O.C., Channel 4, 2.05pm
Ryan is left out in the cold this week after his fight with Hot Smouldering Oliver. On the one hand we applaud Ryan's keen sense of loyalty in wanting to protect Marissa from the hot psychopath, but, on the other hand, Marissa is a dull, self-obsessed cold fish and we'd rather she just disappeared altogether. Meanwhile, uptown, all is still not well with Seth and Anna. We'd suggest Seth kills two birds with one stone and boinks Ryan instead, but that might just be the result of us reading too much fan fiction.
» PUFF! Trains With Pete Waterman, Channel 4, 5.30pm
Quite possibly the most surprising blonde highlight ever to appear on lowculture. Everyone's favourite pop connoisseur, reality TV judge and all-round inventor of everything "Uncle" Pete Waterman presents this documentary series on the history of Britain's rail networks, starting tonight with the birth of the railways. We're looking forward to hearing how Pete invented the steam train.
» DUFF! Charmed, LivingTV, 7.05pm
We had the misfortune to catch this particular episode the other day, and since this is quite possibly the worst episode of Charmed ever (no mean feat, that), we felt compelled to recommend it. Piper, Phoebe and Paige are endowed with good luck when they assist some leprechauns against a demon. Worth watching for the worst attempts at Irish accents since Angel was cancelled, and a random, thoroughly bizarre guest appearance from Pat Benatar.

About Us

According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses. We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
