WEDNESDAY'S FUCK ME TV
You won't believe they're showing it on TV. But they are! Our Tiny Tanya Turner ratings
show just how low each show goes – the more Tanyas a show scores, the more we approve.
» BITTER! Cheers, 8.30am, Channel 4
If you're looking for a good reason to be late for work every morning, they don't come much better than this series of Cheers repeats. Each episode is sharp, funny and spiteful. It's great to feel that mix of delight and unease now we can see that gang of misfits, now forever trapped together in the bar, knocking lumps out of each other in an endless loop of reruns.
» TRICKY! Countdown, 3.15pm, Channel 4
Admirers of rubbish children's television magic shows of the 1980s will be delighted to see former Tricky Business host Paul Zenon in Dictionary Corner this week. Fingers crossed for Wizbit next week. Or perhaps even Wizadora!
» BENT! The Bill, ITV1, 8pm
Over on BBC1, Pauline Fowler is still peeved that Michelle couldn't drag herself back from America for Mark's funeral. Selfish cow. Everything's OK really, though, as Michelle, aka Susan Tully, is directing her TV brother, Todd Carty, in The Bill these days. She's at the helm for tonight's episode, which sets the scene for the return of evil cop killer Don Beech – and, of course, Linda Lusardi as his bit of stuff.
» LATE! Paradise Hotel, 11.55pm, Five
This seems like the kind of thing we would be watching late at night, if only we weren't trawling the internet dating sites for cheap slags who will do it any which way. By a spooky coincidence, that is essentially the theme of this programme, and the backbiting and sexual power games have entranced several of the people we work with. If only it was shown a bit earlier, we would all be happy.
