No sign of Margo, sadly
SELF-SUFFICIENT! The Real Good Life, ITV1, 8.00pm
Crossing a reality TV show with a classic sitcom is certainly an interesting idea. Personally we’d quite like to see The Real Brittas Empire, where members of the public volunteer to run a leisure centre incompetently, or The Real So Haunt Me, where members of the public move in with a Jewish ghost. In the meantime, however, we shall turn our attentions to this show that follows three couples in their attempts to break off the shackles of modern consumerist living and turn self-sufficient. It was hard enough for Tom and Barbara in the mid-70s, so we’re quite intrigued to see how much harder it can be when you’re being denied access to Sky+ and your electric melon baller.
