HOME AND A GAY
We are suckers for a gay soap storyline (pun intended), so TiVo was instructed to record Saturday's Home And Away omnibus so we could keep abreast of the activities of Summer Bay's very first homosexualist – Pippa's son, Chris.
The first sign that something was Not Quite Right came almost as soon as Pip and her boy made their entrance – Chris was wearing a shirt that can only be described as gaily patterned, and Pippa looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.
Sure enough, it wasn't long before she was confessing to Irene that Chris had what she charmingly described as a "problem with his sexuality". Unfortunately, Irene had already agreed that Chris could spend the summer holidays in her beach house, sleeping top to toe with Nick, and she began to look slightly uneasy when it dawned on her that her houseguest might try to perform certain lewd acts on her Neanderthal charge.
As the week progressed, we discovered that Chris liked to look at teenage boys with their shirts off, took as many as three showers a day, and got on famously with the Bay's teenage girls population – although Nick was appalled that he was looking at their clothes instead of their tits ("Who tells a girl they like her top?!?").
Chris is getting on a bit better with Seb, but we reckon that their burgeoning friendship will start to unravel as the week progresses, and Chris starts to get a bit fruity. Watch it every night at 6.30pm on Five.
