Right here's where you start paying ...
OK, which of the following would you rather have?
1. FAME ACADEMY: A prime-time BBC1 series, produced by Endemol based on a format that has been a hit across Europe. In this series, a former radio executive and his lackeys put a bunch of would-be performers though their paces in an attempt to produce some top pop talent for the nation.
2. FAME: A prime-time NBC series, produced by Endemol based on a format that has been a hit across Europe. In this series, Debbie Allen from out of the original Fame puts a bunch of would-be performers though their paces in an attempt to produce some top pop talent for the nation, possibly with the aid of a big stick for the purpose of tapping aggressively on floors while delivering rousing speeches about how fame costs, and right here is where you start paying (in sweat).
No contest, really. Are you listening, BBC? We don't want men called Richard. We want women called Debbie Allen from out of Fame, with big sticks that they're not afraid to bang on the floor.
