Monday magic

You know, it's pretty amazing we managed to bring you this new version of LOWCULTURE at all, what with all the good stuff that was happening in the soaps last night.

Steph started going loopy again in Emmerdale, Danny found out Mike was his dad in Corrie and, of course, the Mitchell brothers made their much-anticipated return in EastEnders.

The EE team pulled out all the stops for this landmark episode – it was dark, menacing and built up to a genuinely thrilling climax. Even a tiresome Ian Beale sub-plot could not dampen our enthusiasm. Top marks to Tony Jordan, the show's classiest writer, for half an hour of sheer joy.
