FUCK ME FACTS!
Amazing things about Thursday, February 26:
» It emerged three years ago that a cash-strapped Russian TV station had unveiled their version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? The top prize on Who Wants to be Fabulously Wealthy? was a hefty £33. We'd hate to be the fool screwing up a 2p starter question.
» In the same year scientists claimed that men with long ring fingers were better at sport. Now there's an image.
» Noel's House Party was axed five years ago today. We're still waiting for the public burning of Mr Blobby.
» Happy birthday to: The first British winner of Eurovision, Sandie Shaw (57). The song, Puppet on a String, went on to sell 4million copies. Also born on this day was the late cartoon director Tex Avery, who brought us Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Droopy.
» There's very little else in terms of date specific facts today, so why not spend the spare time visiting the Lichenstein art exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, London, or the agricultural Grower of the Year awards at the city's Royal Lancaster Hotel.
