ALL NIGHT ALL RIGHT

If you were here on Friday, you will remember that we were as giddy as a dozen schoolgirls, all pissed on Bacardi Breezers, at the prospect of going along to Top Of The Pops to see Peter Andre's triumphant comeback.
We're delighted to report that the occasion was everything we had dreamed of, and less.
The evening started well when, while wandering aimlessly around the corridors of Television Centre waiting for something interesting to take place, we happened upon none other than the Andre himself. He was in a state of great agitation, punching the air with delight and hollering "Alright fellas!" at us in a very loud voice.
Unfortunately, we didn't manage to blag our way into the Pops bar to get even closer to our hero, so we had to settle for watching Kylie Minogue performing Red Blooded Woman instead.
N*E*R*D were on just before Peter, which led to the most hilarious sight of the whole year so far – a lonely Pharrell standing at the side of the set looking lost and getting mobbed by absolutely no one because the whole studio was busy swaying to the opening bars of Mysterious Girl.
But the best thing about seeing TOTP live from the studio floor is that, if you're lucky, you don't ever have to see or hear Tim "never-mind-this-shit-watch-my-show-on-MTV" Kash. That has to make nearly getting run over by a great big camera, tripping over lots of wires and inadvertently getting caught up in a guard of honour designed to welcome the victorious Sam and Mark into the studio sort of worthwhile.

About Us

According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses. We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
