Wednesday's Low Points
The schlock you won't want to miss today.
» The Bill 8pm, ITV1 ... In a rather unlikely storyline, PC Polly is currently on trial for murder. In reality, she is one of the few Sun Hill officers who has not actually murdered someone, but this does not seem to matter. The best thing about all this is that the prosecuting barrister is played by Jane Gurnett, aka Kate out of Crossroads. You will be pleased to hear that her acting has lost none of its distinctive vigour in the months since our favourite soap ended.
» The Funniest Ads In The World... Probably 9pm, Five ... ie ...Almost Certainly Not.
» Threads 10.40pm, BBC4 ... Drama about the aftermath on a nuclear attack on Sheffield that scared the shit out of the nation when it was first shown in 1984.
» Redcoats 12.55am, ITV1 ... Butlins docusoap. Tonight, Michael gets gunged. Lucky him!
