Death becomes him/her/it

END! The OC, Channel 4, 8.55pm

The OCSeason three of The OC hasn't exactly been a classic. We liked Ben McKenzie and Adam Brody's new haircuts, and Taylor Townsend has been kind of awesome, but other than that it's been a bit of a letdown, if we're honest. Too much focus on Marissa as usual, too many storylines requiring people to act too out of character for our liking.

But now we're at the end and things are about to change. It's graduation: a time for moving on, and a time for important life-events. Unfortunately, some of the life-events that take place in this season finale are not quite the sort that people would normally expect. Let's just say that there's a hospitalisation, and there's a death. A death! And we're not going to say who dies for those of you who are unspoiled, but let's just say YAY! and leave it at that.

Coming up in season four: they all go to college, and Kaitlin Cooper heads to Newport. Um, whoopee.

About Us

According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses. We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
