LOOKING STRESSED, SOMEWHAT DEPRESSED, IN NEED OF A REST AND CONTEMPLATING A LITTLE LIGHT INCEST*
» Karl and Susan are still putting each other through the marital wringer in NEIGHBOURS (BBC1, 5.35pm). She's annoyed that he hasn't been attending any of his counselling sessions, and he's annoyed that she won't just leave her the fuck alone to drink himself into a stupor. We can see it from both sides, really...
» We have rarely enjoyed HOME AND AWAY (five, 6pm) as much as we did during the recent period when Alf was being haunted by the ghost of his dead wife, Ailsa. You just can't beat a bit of from-beyond-the-grave stalking – so much less common than being hounded by the living. Leah, for instance, has been thinking that Jesse is the one who is following her around, sending her flowers, buying her houses and so forth. But he pleads his innocence. To our minds, this leaves only one obvious culprit – the ghost of Leah's dead husband, Vinnie. It might sound ludicrous, but just you keep watching.
» It's Andy and Katie's big day in EMMERDALE (ITV1, 7pm) and, predictably, Katie makes it to the church still looking red-faced from a big night with her groom-to-be's brother, Robert. Will Robert be seized by a last-minute attack of guilt and decide to stay away from the ceremony in case he says something he shouldn't? Fat chance.
» Sharon's plans for a cosy Watts family holiday are slowly coming unstuck in EASTENDERS (BBC1, 7.30pm). Vicki, it seems, is faced with some kind of jumper emergency, and must remain in Walford, so Sharon will just have to go to Spain and shag her own brother instead. Isn't it always the way?
*Except not really, as she's only his adopted sister and blah, blah, blah...
