Amazing things about November 6:
» The Spice Girls and Westlife released albums on the same day in 2000. Owing to a severe case of not giving a toss, we cannot report which of the two sold more.
» Reports in 2000 suggested that George Clooney would not be playing Batman again, because he was "too good-looking". Anyone who saw Batman and Robin will know that it would not have been anything to do with him being "too good".
» Flippin' heck! It's 20 years since Billy Joel was at No.1 with Uptown Girl, his cover of the classic Westlife song.
» Nigel Havers, who has played every posh character on TV since 1978, is 54 today. And Nell McAndrew, famous for no particular reason, is 30.
