Tuesday's Low Points

The schlock you won't want to miss today
» Countdown 4.15pm, Channel 4 ... Featuring appearances by the letters N, P, L, T and E. It's a bit like Sesame Street in that respect, but without the purple two-headed monster to grunt out the words for you. You have a brown-headed Vorderman instead.
» Jamie's Kitchen 10pm, Channel 4 ... Repeats are all the rage, apparently. Thank goodness there's so fucking many of them then. Here, we see Jamie find time between babies, books and browsing supermarkets to get stressed about his trainee chefs.
» Moulin Rouge 8pm, Sky Movies Premier 4 ... We weren't too sure about this at the cinema, but on reflection we really quite liked it. Nicole and Ewan give it there all in this colourful, camp migraine of a movie.
» Okay, we're struggling for decent shows today. Let us know what we should be watching before it's too late, by clicking on the comment link.

About Us

According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses. We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
