The schlock you won't want to miss today
» Casualty 8.25pm, BBC1 ... Tonight's the night that Duffy gets the boot. But will Charlie be able to tell her he loves her before she goes? Not likely. Also popping up tonight is Les Dennis as a sadistic car dealer who ends up getting set on fire, which has to be worth an hour of anyone's time.
» 25 Years of Smash Hits 9pm, Channel 4 ... If we hadn't discovered the last Smash Hits to have Banarama on the cover in 1990 and become utterly hooked, you lot probably wouldn't be reading this website now. According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses.
We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
