» Fresh Fields 8am, Granada Plus ... Hilarity ensues when Hester ropes in family and friends to help with the church bazaar and concert. But when William tries to avoid it by going fishing, he gets 'hooked'. Hooked. You see?
» Jenny Jones 3pm, Sky One ... 'You're Putting Us In Debt, cuz You Can't Pass Up a Bet'
» The Nanny 3pm, Living TV ... Best theme song lyrics in history ('She was working in a bridal shop in Flushing, Queens, Til her boyfriend kicked her out in one of those crushing scenes. What was she to do, where was she to go? She was out on her fanny..." etc). We used to love Sky One when this was teamed with Friends on a Thursday night.
» The Simpson 8.30pm, Sky One ... Marge is feeling fat, so Homer treats her to liposuction, but a hilarious mix-up leaves her with a great big pair of new tits instead.
» The Adventure Game 11.45pm, Challenge? ... Yes, it is the classic 1980s teatime quiz show. Unfathomable logic puzzles, third-rate celebrities, all-round insanity and a lead character who was, variously, an aspidistra and a teapot. Always worth watching to see Bonnie Langford or whoever get zapped into the vortex at the end.
