OUR HEART HAS JUST SKIPPED A BEAT, AND WE'RE IN SEVERE DANGER OF LOSING OURSELVES COMPLETELY
In the most unexpected comeback since Lazarus turned up demanding a nice cup of tea, it has been announced that Scooch are to reform.
Scooch, in case you had managed to blank them from your memory, were a (very) cheap and cheerful Steps rip-off who managed to be both better and worse than Steps, depending on which way you want to look at it.
Their finest pop moment was the fabulous More Than I Needed To Know, which was the official anthem of lowculture's Millennium celebrations.
And - hooray! - Caroline, Russ, David and Natalie are going to be singing it again for our pleasure at G-A-Y (where else?) on Saturday, January 17, 2004.
We could go on for ages about how great this news is, but unfortunately we have to leave now to catch the night bus to Charing Cross Road so we can start queueing.
