» Smallville 6.40pm, Channel 4 ... Clarke is on the Red Kryptonite again today, so his sweet-but-gormless expression is replaced by a mean-but-gormless one.
» Futurama 7pm, Sky One ... Great news for all of us who bought the DVD box sets – Sky has just started repeating the whole series, from the start. Tonight sees the first appearance of girdle-wearing, lady-loving starship captain Zap Brannigan.
» Coronation Street 7.50pm, ITV1 ... Ashley shows he is a man not a very squeaky mouse when he pays Claire's ex-boyfriend a visit. And Keith Duffy makes another of his increasingly tiresome appearances.
» George and Mildred: The Movie 3.35am, Channel 4 ... The 1970s were lean years for the British film industry – looking back, it seems as though the only thing that was keeping it afloat at all was endless movie versions of TV sitcoms. The only film you will see today starring a woman named Yootha Joyce – guaranteed! This showing is dedicated to lowculture reader Quincy MD, who is a big fan of Brian Murphy.
