FUCK ME FACTS!
Amazing things about Thursday, March 25:
» It was revealed in 1999 that one in five adults couldn't use the Yellow Pages to find a plumber, and that a quarter couldn't work out the change they would get from £2 if their groceries cost £1.58. Not enough to pay for the tradesman, we fancy.
» A man hoping to join the police force dialled 999 to ask if they'd received his application form. That's what we like to see - an eager would-be copper.
» We're not usually ones for sport, but felt we had to point out that Scotland won the first ever football international in 1876, four-nil against Wales.
» It's a good day for birthdays. Among those celebrating are: Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin (62), Rocky Horror Show creator Richard O'Brien (62), the original Starsky, Paul Michael Glaser (60), Muppeteer Frank Oz (60), Neighbours' Shane Ramsay, and Peter O'Brien (44). But wait! It's also Footloose actress Sarah Jessica Parker's 39th birthday (she played Rusty). And happy birthday Stuart, you cheeky 30-year-old you!
» Unrelated fact of the day: Cherophobia is a fear of fun. We think it must be an airborne virus that's doing the rounds at work at the moment.
