Amazing things about July 2:
» The world was enthralled by reports of a new gadget from Japan in 1998. The 'lovegety' was supposed to flash whenever a potential lover was around. We don't need a gadget to do that!
» The late Lolo Ferrari and the not-late Ulrika Jonsson came joint-last in a celebrity 'best tits' competiton in 2000.
» Sheena Easton made her first TV appearance in 1980, on Esther Rantzan's 'Big Time' show.
» Peter Kay from out of Phoenix Nights is 30 today. He shares his birthday with the drummer out of The Farm (39, as if anyone cares) and model/actress Jerry Hall (47)
» Hoorah! The Proclaimers will be shouting tunelessly in a Scottish accent (or, to be strictly accurate, two Scottish accents) at Rothesay Pavilion, Isle of Bute, this evening.
