Talent will always shine

Lance Bass, one of the members of N*Sync who's not That One, has signed as a judge for NBC's four-episode series The Search for the Most Talented Kid in America.
We've given this, oooh, seconds of thought, and we can't think of much that would qualify him for such a post.
The best we can suggest:
» He knows someone who is talented.
» He was once a kid.
» He nearly went into space, but not really.
» He doesn't look quite as bad as he used to (although that's not saying much).
