BEENY! Property Ladder, Channel 4, 8.00pm

Property LadderIt's just occurred to us: given that Sarah Beeny's pregnant belly was a guest star in so many episodes of the previous series, why did we never think to make a Beeny Baby joke? Seriously: comedy gold, and it slipped right past us. Foolish! That's what we are.

Anyway, it's time to sound the property klaxon, because our hero Sarah Beeny is back with another eight-part series of Property Ladder, our favouritest of all TV property shows. Why? It's simple: the lovely Sarah is always right, the aspiring developers always ignore her and get things completely wrong, and we all get to shout at the screen because a bunch of idiots who got free advice from a professional completely ignored her. You don't always need to press the red button for interactivity, you know.

There's even the chance to join in the Property Ladder drinking game, which basically involves downing your drink whenever Sarah says "I'm not so sure that's a good idea", "I'm not so sure they've thought this through", or anybody reveals a budget that doesn't account for half the things they're going to need to buy. You can get good and wasted during this show, let us tell you. We have complete and utter love for this programme, and we'll drown anybody who disagrees with us in an unbudgeted hot tub - got it?

About Us

According to Marxist theory, cultural forms such as opera, classical music and the literary works of Shakespeare all fall under the heading of high culture. Low culture refers to a wide variety of cultural themes that are characterised by their consumption by the masses. We might not be Marxists, but we do know we loved Footballers Wives. If you do too, you'll know what this is all about.
