'Ecky thump!
Amazing facts about April 27:
» It's a bumper day for birthdays! Howard Donald, one of several members of Take That with a speech impediment, is 33 and still working as a DJ. Sheena Easton, meanwhile, hits 44 (although the age of her Sugar Walls is less immediately obvious). Kate Pierson of the B-52s in 55. She is notable because she was once charged with the splendid offence of criminal mischief after an anti-fur protest. And Jack Klugman, who was the mighty Quincy, is 81. Before becoming an actor, he worked in a post office.
» On this day in 2000, Britney Spears revealed that she was still a virgin, and intended to remain one for the forseeable future. We don't want to question her powers of foresight, so we will pass no further comment on this statement.
» In 1992, James Brown filed a £10m lawsuit against his record company for the mental distraa caused to him by hearing 'I Feel Good' in advertisements. Who fancies getting up a class action suit against Lynx for their recent advertising abomination?
» We're running out of random expressions of surprise to use in this section every day. If you can think of a good one, let us know.
