Confession
Alcohol can do strange things to people. Sometimes, it makes you want to dance, sometimes it makes you want to watch loads of crap on TV.
Last night, after downing a bottle of red wine, lowculture is ashamed to admit that, while flicking through the channels on Sky looking for documentaries about ladyboys and strippers, we started watching something on the History Channel about Stalin.
It followed the dictator's reign of terror during the 1930s, a period during which the Soviet Union became an industrial power at the expense of civil liberty, and was actually very interesting (it had people talking in Russian with subtitles and everything).
Afterwards, though, we felt unclean and had to watch Mel B in Burn It on BBC3 to blot out the memory.
