New! Or not so new, depending on how you want to look at it
The Sun has only just declared that Westlife are fucked, but the good people of Ireland have already exported another group of five fresh-faced boys to take their place.
We're talking, of course, about D-Side, who are currently touting their debut single, Speechless (perverts take note: it's number 613 on The Box).
So what if their video is made up exclusively of bits of old videos, their song sounds like Pure and Simple and they have far too many Ugly Ones? We don't mind, as they are the cheesiest thing to hit the boyband scene since A1 stopped wearing those matching tight vests and found the key to the jangly guitar cupboard.
Our favourite D-Sider is Ryan, who lists his favourite song as Summer of 69, likes to eat steak and onions and says D-Side are young, fresh and different to anything we've ever seen before. Bless his little heart.
Unfortunately for D-Side, Triple 8 are going to kick their pop arses. It's a sad old world.
