Blast from the past

If, like us, you have a strong suspicion that US tv shows are getting a bit cerebral, you'll be pleased to learn that the WB network is planning a revival of MacGyver.
Marge Simpson's sisters, Patti and Selma, will no doubt be disgusted to learn that Richard Dean Anderson is not expected to reprise his most famous role - there's going to be a sexy new cast, and the lead character will be the nephew of the original McG.
Sales of duct tape, electric whisks and paperclips are expected to soar on the back of the new series, as the show teaches new generation of teens how to turn everyday items into heat-seeking missiles.
Coming for the 2004-2005 season (we hope): The Fall Guy's Slutty Niece and Hunky Son of Manimal.
